Neurological Conditions:
Headaches as well as neuritis (the inflammation of any part of a nerve other than the nervoe root) and radiculitis (inflammation of a nerve root as it exits the spine) are commonly treated neurological conditions in the chiropractic profession. Radiculitis commonly causes pain in the shoulder, arm and hand. Neuritis causes sensations such as tingling, burning, hot or cold spots, crawling or stinging. Additionally, vertigo (loss of equilibrium) is a condition treated by Dr. Michael McGivney at his office in Rye, New York. Because neurological conditions can be extremely serious, it is often necessary for us to co-manage them along with other health-care professionals.
